As we wrap up 2019, I’m counting down Imperfect Action’s top 10 most popular episodes. #6 is Maja Neducic, Chief People Officer of the Serbian software company Vega IT Sourcing.
In this episode she discusses creating business results through employee happiness. Maja has helped Vega IT win awards for being both the most desirable employer as well as the fastest growing company in Serbia. She shares simple and practical ways to create a company focused on customer and employee happiness by investing people and focusing on building an incredible work environment. Because of these efforts, Vega IT doesn’t even have a sales department – all sales growth comes from word of mouth of happy customers (think about that for a minute). Which of the ideas she shares will you apply immediately at your own organization?
Also, be sure to check out episode #64 with Sasa Popovic. He is the co-founder and CEO of Vega IT and he talks about the inspiration and approach to building an innovative business and a better world.
Speaking of using innovative management and business to make a difference, did you catch top 10 episode #7 with Ari Weinzweig of Zingerman’s community of businesses? If you are looking to build your business or become even better at leading, it’s well worth your time.
Let’s get started.
Maja Neducic, Chief People Officer, Vega IT Sourcing
Everything about Maja’s CV screams Industrial Psychology, and she’s riding the new wave of personnel administration as Vega IT’s Chief People Officer. We all have our priorities, and Maja believes that the most valuable assets of any enterprise are the people that staff it. While our designers and builders continuously push the boundaries of the game, she checks in to make sure that we are all keeping a cool head and operating at peak efficiency. With her sights on a PhD, she also volunteered with Novi Sad’s champions of education “Teach Us All,” because her vision of bettering lifestyles extends and extends.
With her walls full of certificates, books on her shelves, and a snowboard in her purse, we are grateful that she can manage her time so well that she is able to help us manage ours. Maja has earned the Master of Arts degree in Industrial Psychology.

This episode is sponsored by NutriFitt.
I tried NutriFitt’s whey protein supplement after meeting the founder and hearing his journey and commitment to quality. I like to support up and coming businesses so I gave it a try and was amazed. It mixes immediately and the chocolate flavor actually tastes like chocolate, not like some chemical engineering committee’s overdone attempt. It has no artificial sweeteners, colors, or preservatives. Plus, it includes probiotics and is easy on the stomach.
The true taste test? My teenage daughter even likes it.
There are a lot of supplement brands on the market and NutriFitt is my favorite.

(My personal favorite: Double chocolate whey protein.)

Big thanks for letting me use the song.
